The Generic conventions of a music magazine

In this presentation I have researched an image of a music magazine. I have annotated the magazine so that all of the codes and conventions have been listed with an explanation on why the magazine company has used it on their cover. I have come to the conclusion that the main reason why all of these conventions are used is to engage the reader and to make a profit on the magazine by drawing the reader in. Overall, I have learned the conventions of a typical music magazine and will be able to project them when I make my own further on in the course.

School Magazine contents page

For the school contents page, i made an example of what it should look like but without the images and proper information that i would put on a real magazine contents page. The images are yet to be put on there but it shows their place on the page. Page number are also on the page so it is easier to find it. Also it includes a logo at the top and contact information which is used for the target audience of the magazine.

This is an image of a magazine cover that I have made as an example. The image that was used was blurry due to the camera so it wasn't the best quality. For my next magazine cover I hope to improve it by using a better image and applying better headlines and do everything more as a professional magazine.

For my school magazine, I will be doing one similar to this so it can connote how hard the school work because of the main image writing and that it is smart because of the uniform.
